SwimUp Miami, formerly MM West Kendall Swimming Club, was founded in 2014 by Nico Machado and Carlos Meneses lifelong swimmers who began training at a young age and went on to become elite competitors in Cuba. As adults, they refined their expertise as instructors for high-performance athletes at the prestigious Marcelo Salado Swim School in Havana. Driven by a passion to share their knowledge and give back to the community, they brought their proven methods to South Florida, building one of the area’s most trusted swim programs.
