SwimUp Miami, formerly MM West Kendall Swimming Club, was founded in 2014 by Nico Machado and Carlos Meneses lifelong swimmers who began training at a young age and went on to become elite competitors in Cuba.

As adults, they refined their expertise as instructors for high-performance athletes at the prestigious Marcelo Salado Swim School in Havana. Driven by a passion to share their knowledge and give back to the community, they brought their proven methods to South Florida, building one of the area’s most trusted swim programs.

After more than a decade of success, 2026 marks an exciting new chapter as we grow and relaunch as SwimUp Miami enhancing our facilities, simplifying registration, and expanding programs for families. While we continue to evolve, one thing remains the same: our commitment to delivering the proven results our students and parents have come to rely on.
